Tambopata Jungle 4 days / 3 nights

Overview

Tambopata jungle reserve of Tambopata is located in the South East of Peru, around a 14 hour drive or 1 hour flight from the Andean capital of Cusco. It is fairly small compared with other jungle reserves, but is overflowing with abundant life. These jungle tours allow you to experience the magic, diversity and tranquility of one of the most diverse locations on earth.

Itinerary

DAY 01: Tambopata Jungle -Monkey Island

Arrival at the Capital of Biodiversity of Peru. Puerto Maldonado – reception at the airport. Our tour begins with a tour of the city bus.

We then head to Port Captaincy to embark on the boat on the Madre de Dios River, during the journey immerses us in a natural environment where we see the capybara, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants and other animal species.
Arrival Ecoamazonía Lodge, an exquisite welcome drink, settle into our bungalows and have lunch.
In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, visit the first and only place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, Monkey Island, 5 minutes from the lodge.

During the hike in the extraordinary landscapes and exuberant flora that are home to a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as spider monkeys, capuchins, lion monkeys, puffins, preserves, and other species like the coati, Perez, among others, and a variety of birds. During the way to the island enjoying the sun being the most impressive sunset of the jungle. Then return to the lodge the day with a nice dinner.

DAY 02: COCHA PERDIDA

After breakfast, we begin our journey through virgin forest, accompanied by a local guide, hiking internment to get to Lost Lake, which is an ecosystem of refuge of a huge variety of animals. Here you can see otters, alligators, turtles, tapirs, birds with colorful plumage, the majestic jaguar and a variety of fish.

This area is unique and belongs Ecoamazonia Reserve, because it still remains intact, with extensive swamps and marshes. We’ll ascend to and extraordinary vantage point from which to observe the magical jungle, followed by a pleasant canoe ride around the lake. Return to the lodge. Lunch. DAY 03: RIO GAMITANA O BRIOLO

After breakfast, start another excursion through the magical jungle, navigating along the Madre de Dios River, until the beginning our walk toward the river GAMITANA / BRIOLO, born from the womb of the virgin forest. Its impressive curves form long channels navigable by canoe, observing closely turtles, alligators, birds, and a variety of insects. Also fishing and a swim in its waters. Return and dinner.

DAY 04:

Breakfast, transfer to airport in Puerto Maldonado

The cost of this Tour is expressed in American dollars and is per person, the cost will depend on the hotel accommodation you choose, we work with hotels from 2** to 5**** stars, it will also depend on the type of room required : single (1 person), double (2 people) and triple (3 people).
